SPECIALIZED ASSESSMENTS

The Fear and Anxiety Disorders Clinic offers specialized assessments for anxiety disorders in adults (18-70). Assessments include in-depth structured diagnostic interviews, questionnaires, behavioral and psychophysiological recordings and brain scans when appropriate. This assessment procedure will help us determine the nature of your anxiety and lead to recommendations that best fit your needs.

If you contact our Clinic, seeking evaluation/treatment for anxiety problems, a member of our staff will interview you briefly on the telephone in order to learn about you and whether our clinic is appropriate for your concerns. You will then be scheduled for a comprehensive evaluation with a trained clinician. You should plan to spend approximately 6 to 8 hours for this initial appointment. After the evaluation, the Clinic staff will inform you whether our services would be helpful to your particular needs. The results of the evaluation will be discussed with you and treatment recommendations will be offered. If our programs are not judged to be appropriate for you, we will provide you with referrals to other services in the area.

For an evaluation or more information, please call: (352) 392-1037
